Katherine works mainly with Canadian and US English. For those who don’t know, Canadian English is something of a mix of US and UK English. When it comes to UK English proper, Katherine edits formal, academic, and technical writing. She is not comfortable working with casual writing or fiction in UK English. This is because her ears are not attuned to British colloquialisms (in spite of many re-readings of Harry Potter).

Katherine believes that all writing should be clear and engaging. It's not enough simply to fix typos or correct grammar. If you are not communicating clearly, the most perfect grammar won't help. That's why Katherine looks at every aspect of your writing: not only grammar, but also flow, clarity, logic, argument, tone, level of detail, and much more.
Whether you are a native speaker of English or not, Katherine will help you make your writing as clear, engaging, and natural as possible. She will help you find the appropriate voice for any task. She will help your words take flight.
